The US State Department has warned its citizens to leave 14 Middle Eastern countries due to rising tensions.

This alert follows recent attacks on US embassies and military bases in Gulf countries, including a drone strike on the US embassy in Riyadh.

Attack on US Embassy in Riyadh

On the morning of the attack, two drones targeted the US embassy in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh.

The Saudi Defense Ministry confirmed that the attack caused a small fire and minor damage but no casualties.

Following the attack, the embassy advised Americans in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dhahran to stay indoors and avoid going outside.

Videos on social media showed smoke and fire near the embassy, prompting fear in the surrounding areas.

US Issues Evacuation Warning for 14 Countries

The US has urged its citizens in 14 countries to leave immediately.

These countries include Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, UAE, and Yemen.

The State Department emphasized the severity of the risk and advised citizens to use available commercial flights.

While some airports have been closed and flights canceled, the US government has activated emergency measures to help evacuate citizens.

For assistance, the State Department provided emergency helplines: +1-202-501-4444 (international) and +1-888-407-4747 (domestic).

They also urged citizens to register on STEP.gov to receive important updates.

Growing Risks and Rising Tensions

The warning from the US comes after a series of drone and missile attacks on US facilities in the region.

Despite efforts to activate emergency forces for safe evacuation, most citizens are dependent on available commercial flights for departure.

If you or someone you know is in these regions, it’s essential to check the State Department’s website and take immediate action to leave.
