Sri Lankan President Anura Dissanayake was the first to extend his greetings. Following that, Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim also congratulated him.
Malaysia’s PM’s Special Message
Anwar Ibrahim took to social media platform X to praise Vijay. He acknowledged the overwhelming support Vijay received from his fans, who have long seen him defeat corrupt politicians and villains in his films. Ibrahim pointed out that Tamil Nadu’s people entrusted Vijay with a responsibility far greater than any movie role he had ever played.

Anwar Ibrahim’s ‘One-Finger Revolution’ Remark
Ibrahim also shared a Tamil saying, “Oru Viral Puri,” which translates to “One Finger Revolution.” He emphasized the importance of one vote, suggesting that Tamil Nadu’s election marked a pivotal moment in history. Ibrahim noted that Tamil Nadu and Malaysia share deep historical, cultural, and people-to-people ties. He expressed excitement about working alongside Vijay in the future.
Sri Lanka’s President Also Congratulates Vijay
Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake also congratulated Vijay on his victory. Dissanayake highlighted the strong historical, cultural, and economic ties between Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. He mentioned the potential for increased cooperation between both countries. Dissanayake wished the people of Tamil Nadu and CM Vijay success, noting that the people of Sri Lanka share their hopes for Vijay’s successful tenure.
TVK’s Victory in Tamil Nadu Assembly Election
In the recent Tamil Nadu assembly election, TVK emerged as the largest party, winning 108 seats. However, Vijay had won two seats, so he vacated one. As a result, TVK now has 107 seats. Additionally, Congress (5 seats), CPI, CPI(M), VCK, and IUML (2 seats each) pledged their support to TVK. This coalition now holds a total of 120 seats in the assembly.
AIADMK Faction Joins TVK Support
In a further boost, a faction of AIADMK also announced its support for Vijay’s TVK during the upcoming floor test. This solidifies Vijay’s position as Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister, enhancing his party’s power in the state.
