‘America-Israel Break Promises’: Tehran Warns After Rejecting Trump’s Proposal

Iran says quick results from talks look unlikely, while Tehran praises Pakistan’s mediation and rejects trust in US-Israel assurances.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei recently clarified Tehran’s position during a state TV interview. Meanwhile, his comments came amid rising tension between America and Iran. He openly warned that people should not expect immediate or fast change from the current talks with America. Therefore, his statement challenged claims about any quick deal or sudden easing of tension.

Baghaei said expecting a major breakthrough from the ongoing talks would not look “appropriate.” Moreover, he made this point while discussing efforts to reduce tension between America and Iran. His remarks also came after Tehran rejected Trump’s proposal. As a result, the statement carried a direct warning against rushed expectations.

Pakistan’s Role And Iran’s Distrust Of America-Israel

However, Baghaei expressed trust in Pakistan’s role during this diplomatic effort. He said Pakistan would continue as a reliable mediator. Moreover, he praised Pakistani efforts and said, “Pakistan has done good work so far.” Then, he added that Pakistan had shown strong ability to handle this difficult conversation.

Meanwhile, Baghaei repeated Iran’s distrust of America and Israel. He said both countries “are known for breaking promises.” Furthermore, he stressed that Iran does not trust any written agreement. He also said Tehran does not trust American or Israeli assurances. Instead, Iran believes real security can only come from its own army and weapons strength.

Baghaei also responded to American statements appearing through social media and the press. He said people should not take American leaders’ tweets or statements too seriously. Moreover, he warned against giving those comments exaggerated or deep meaning. He added that nobody should immediately accept such remarks as correct. According to him, those comments may not reflect truth or actual policy.

Finally, Baghaei said Iran does not aim only to hold talks. Instead, Tehran wants to reach a point where the threat of war ends completely. However, he said Tehran will not rush or trust anyone under pressure. Therefore, Iran wants the speed and direction of talks to remain under its own control.
