During ongoing NEET protests, PM Modi announced the formation of a fast track court to ensure swift action against paper leak cases. RJD reacted strongly, questioning the government’s intentions, and raised concerns over its responsibility in prosecuting culprits. MP Sudhakar Singh tagged PM Modi on social media, noting repeated failures by authorities.
Singh argued that despite fast track court formation, arrests, FIR filings, and timely investigations remain the government’s constitutional duty. He emphasized that fast track courts cannot replace government accountability, and merely announcing them will not protect students’ futures.
Allegations of Government Negligence
Singh highlighted the NEET-2024 case where the primary accused, Sanjeev Mukhia, escaped due to delayed charge sheet filing. He explained that government inaction and investigative delays caused this failure. Therefore, RJD questioned whether the fast track court is a real solution or a political statement.
He further stressed that government must follow through with arrests, FIRs, impartial investigations, evidence collection, and timely prosecution. Without these steps, students’ concerns remain unaddressed, and announcements will feel meaningless.
Youth Demands Accountability, Not Announcements
RJD expressed that Indian youth are demanding accountability, not empty declarations. Singh said students’ futures require real actions rather than repeated speeches. He warned that without strict enforcement against real culprits, every new announcement would only worsen students’ frustration.
Furthermore, he asked whether the government intends to genuinely punish paper leak offenders or simply protect them. Singh questioned the legitimacy of remaining in power if accountability is ignored, asserting that public trust depends on action.
RJD maintained that until the government enforces justice against those harming students, all promises of fast track courts remain inadequate. The party’s stance emphasized that safeguarding youth requires effective and tangible measures.
