Meanwhile, 25-year-old Sheikh Irshad Mansoori approached the Supreme Court over alleged pellet gun injuries. His Medico-Legal Case report revealed several important details.
According to the report, doctors removed multiple metallic foreign bodies from his head, neck, face, and other body areas during surgery.
MLC Report Details Surgery And Metal Particles
The Lady Hardinge Medical College ENT and Head-Neck Surgery Department prepared the MLC report on July 24. The report mentioned that doctors performed surgery on July 21, 2026, under general anaesthesia.
During the procedure, doctors removed foreign particles trapped inside the body. The diagnosis section noted particles present across multiple areas of the head and neck.
The ENT operation theatre notes mentioned removal of around 2 mm metallic particles. Doctors removed these particles from the right maxillary antrum, inner lower lip, right shoulder, right neck, and left forehead.
Additionally, the report stated that these particles remained superficially trapped inside soft tissues.
Metal Particle Also Found Near Eye Area
The ophthalmology operation theatre notes revealed another removal near the left eye region. Doctors removed a foreign particle from the orbital area and lower eyelid. The report stated that a metallic particle existed near the upper eye muscle area. Doctors found it at a depth of around 8 to 10 mm. Moreover, doctors removed the particle through a nearly 3 mm incision. The extracted object measured around 3×3 mm.
The report described the object as metallic, shiny, sharp-edged, and hard in structure. Sheikh Irshad Mansoori told Hindustan Times that doctors removed seven pellet-like metallic particles from his body after surgery.
However, he claimed that some particles still remain around his face area.
