PM Modi Meets Rebel TMC MPs, Breakfast Meeting Sparks Political Buzz

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a breakfast meeting with former TMC rebel MPs now part of NCPI, discussing future plans and national interests.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met rebel TMC MPs, who recently joined the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI), on Friday, August 7. The meeting took place in Delhi during a breakfast interaction. Several issues came under discussion during the meeting.

After the meeting, rebel TMC MP and NCPI leader Shatabdi Roy shared details with the media. She explained the conversation held with the Prime Minister.

Shatabdi Roy Shares Details Of PM Modi Meeting

Shatabdi Roy said NCPI leaders met Prime Minister Modi during the breakfast meeting. She explained that PM Modi discussed their future direction and upcoming steps. According to Roy, the Prime Minister also discussed working together for national interest. She said the conversation covered these important points.

When reporters asked about the presence of all rebel MPs, Roy confirmed everyone attended the meeting. She also said they had breakfast with the Prime Minister and drank tea together.

Additionally, she mentioned that Union Minister JP Nadda and BJP national president Nitin Naveen also attended the meeting.

NDA Leaders Held Earlier Parliamentary Meeting

Earlier, NDA’s parliamentary group held its weekly Mangal Milan meeting on Tuesday, August 4. The meeting took place inside Parliament House. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar attended the meeting.

Several other leaders also participated in the gathering. Before this, NDA leaders held another alliance meeting on July 28.

Who Is Shatabdi Roy?

Shatabdi Roy is a well-known Bengali cinema actress and currently represents Birbhum Lok Sabha constituency. She first became a Member of Parliament from Birbhum in 2009. Later, she won the Lok Sabha elections from the same seat in 2014, 2019, and 2024. TMC had appointed her as the party’s deputy leader in Lok Sabha.

However, Shatabdi Roy has now joined NCPI along with other rebel MPs.
