Pakistan Warns Israel: ‘Don’t Mistake Us for Qatar, Consequences Will Be Severe’

Amid the US-Iran conflict, Pakistan warns Israel, asserting it is not Qatar and threatening consequences for harm to its diplomats

Pakistan Issues Stern Warning to Israel

Amid the escalating Middle East war, Pakistan has issued a direct warning to Israel. Pakistan emphasized it should not be mistaken for Qatar. Furthermore, Pakistan warned that any harm to its diplomats or officials would lead to severe consequences. This statement followed recent US and Israeli airstrikes in Tehran, near the Pakistani embassy.

The Attack on the Pakistani Embassy Area

On the day the warning came, the US and Israel carried out airstrikes in Tehran. The strikes hit areas near the Pakistani embassy, though reports confirm that neither the embassy nor its personnel were harmed. However, several nearby buildings sustained significant damage.

Israel Strikes Tehran; Iran Responds

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out major attacks in Tehran. They targeted key locations, including military sites and critical infrastructure. In retaliation, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4, targeting Israel’s vital locations with drones. Among the targets were Haifa’s fuel storage and key naval assets.

Pakistan’s Diplomatic Efforts Amid the War

In the ongoing Middle East conflict, Pakistan has played a unique role. Pakistan has attempted to mediate between the US and Iran. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, both nations have engaged in talks facilitated by Pakistan. Additionally, Turkey and Egypt have supported this diplomatic initiative. Their collective aim is to ensure peace in the region.

Potential Talks in Islamabad

Pakistan has also suggested that should both the US and Iran agree, further negotiations could be held in Islamabad. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump confirmed that, following Iran’s request, he paused attacks on Iranian energy facilities for ten days. This halt is set to remain in effect until April 6.
