A shocking incident from Marwa Rajpura in Jamui’s Town police station area sparked public anger. A couple faced alleged harassment and misconduct by a group of youths.
After the video surfaced online, Jamui police launched immediate action. Consequently, three accused were arrested in connection with the case.
Jamui District Magistrate Naveen confirmed the arrests officially. Meanwhile, Jamui SP Vishwajeet Dayal will hold a press conference at 1:30 PM.
During the briefing, police will reveal details about the arrested accused. Additionally, authorities will share updates about the search for four remaining suspects.
Police register FIR after victim’s statement
According to the investigation, seven youths allegedly surrounded a couple near Marwa Rajpura. The couple had visited the area when the group stopped them.
However, the couple tried to escape from the situation. The accused allegedly followed them and misbehaved with the woman.
Furthermore, the group recorded the incident and uploaded the video online. The viral footage created strong anger across the area.
Following the video release, SP Vishwajeet Dayal directed police teams to contact the victim. The police recorded her statement and started further proceedings.
Special team identifies remaining suspects
Based on the victim’s complaint and forensic matching of the viral video, police registered an FIR at Town police station.
Later, a special police team conducted quick raids. As a result, officers arrested three accused linked to the incident.
Police stated that they identified the remaining four suspects visible in the video. Moreover, authorities continue efforts to arrest them.
The police also said they will pursue strict legal action against all accused after completing the investigation
