Bihar has reported another alleged harassment case after the Jamui incident. A video showing a girl facing alleged harassment has gone viral online. The incident reportedly happened in Jagatsinghpur village under Karpurigram police station area. Police have started investigating the matter. According to officials, four accused persons are currently in custody. Sadar DSP Durgesh Deepak confirmed the development.
The incident reportedly occurred near the Bandh Bypass Road. A girl was travelling through the area when the incident happened.
Girl Allegedly Faced Harassment On Bandh Bypass Road
According to the information available, two to three local youths allegedly misbehaved with the girl. They allegedly used abusive language and touched her improperly. The girl was travelling with a boy on the road. She stopped there to take photographs. Meanwhile, some youths allegedly reached the location. They allegedly harassed her and behaved inappropriately.
The girl repeatedly requested the accused persons to leave her. She appealed to them to consider her dignity.
However, she somehow escaped and reached home safely. Later, she informed her family about the incident.
After the information spread, many villagers gathered at the location. Someone recorded the incident video.
The video later circulated widely on social media platforms. Police received information about the matter.
Police Begin Investigation After Video Goes Viral
Samastipur SP Arvind Pratap Singh said officials received information about the case. He confirmed that police are examining the viral video.
He stated that authorities would not spare the accused persons. The Sadar DSP and local police team reached the location.
Furthermore, officials directed the station officer and DSP to take necessary legal action. Police teams are investigating every aspect.
