Sukesh Chandrashekhar faces growing trouble in a money laundering case. Meanwhile, a major update has emerged recently. Jacqueline Fernandez decided to testify against Sukesh in the ₹200 crore case. Her lawyer informed Patiala House Court about this decision. Furthermore, she requested the Enforcement Directorate to accept her as a government witness. Earlier, she had refused to take this step.
Gifts And Legal Trouble Form Core Of Case
According to case details, Sukesh gave expensive gifts to Jacqueline. These included jewellery, a car, and costly clothes. Jacqueline accepted these gifts during that time. Therefore, the Enforcement Directorate named her as a co-accused. Later, she approached the Supreme Court in 2025 seeking relief.
Decision Adds Fresh Pressure On Sukesh
Now, Jacqueline changed her stance and took a strong step. Her lawyer also confirmed this decision publicly. Consequently, this move created a major setback for Sukesh. Therefore, his legal challenges appear to intensify further.
Bail Status Across Multiple Cases
Sukesh faces a total of 31 cases across different matters. Out of these, courts granted him bail in 26 cases. However, some cases still remain pending before courts. Therefore, he has not secured release yet.
Multiple Allegations Continue Against Sukesh
Apart from money laundering, authorities also accused him in an election symbol fraud case. Therefore, his legal issues continue despite partial relief. Meanwhile, Jacqueline’s latest decision adds further complications to his situation.
Jacqueline’s Career Sees Limited Public Presence
Due to the ongoing controversy, Jacqueline reduced public appearances recently. She also appeared in fewer films during this period. In 2025, she acted in Fateh, Raid 2, and Housefull 5. Except Fateh, the other two films performed reasonably well. Currently, she will appear in the multi-starrer film Welcome To The Jungle.
