Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off India’s first hydrogen train at Jind Railway Station and inaugurated its operations, marking a historic achievement. This train will run between Jind and Sonipat, demonstrating India’s technological prowess and commitment to sustainable energy. India Joins Elite Global List

Modi highlighted that only a few countries worldwide have hydrogen train technology, and India now joins this exclusive group. Additionally, he noted the train has ten coaches, making it the world’s longest hydrogen train, and praised its fully pollution-free design, entirely developed by Indian engineers.

Addressing attendees, Modi asked SPG personnel to collect all sketches and photographs. He appreciated their dedication to art and heritage. He also recalled fond memories from past visits to Jind during his organizational work decades ago. Consequently, Modi described Jind as a land of courage, history, and pride. Furthermore, he connected the launch to India’s modernization and self-reliance initiatives.
