After the education minister’s resignation in the NEET paper leak case, CJP opened a new front in Uttar Pradesh. The group reacted to the UP government’s order regarding Rampur’s Johar University. The Uttar Pradesh government ordered action against the university buildings. Meanwhile, CJP said this decision would not benefit the country.
Through a post on X, CJP requested the state government to reconsider the order. The group also demanded withdrawal of the decision.

CJP wrote that reports already show over 20 schools closing daily across the country. Therefore, demolishing a university could mean harming education, the group stated.
According to CJP, such a step would not be right for the nation. The organisation asked the government to review the matter again.
Rampur Administration Declares Buildings Illegal
The Rampur Development Authority declared 38 out of 40 university campus buildings illegal. The authority considered their construction unauthorised. Consequently, officials issued a bulldozer action order against these structures. Rampur’s District Magistrate gave the institution 15 days.
The administration said the authority would conduct demolition if the university failed to remove illegal construction.
Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party opposed the action taken by the Rampur administration.
CJP Earlier Led Jantar-Mantar Protest Over NEET Issue
CJP emerged after Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant’s remark. The organisation later held a protest at Jantar-Mantar. The protest focused on NEET paper leak accountability and compensation for families of students who died by suicide. Sonam Wangchuk became a prominent face of the protest. However, CJP founder and president Abhijeet Deepke organised the movement. The government accepted CJP’s demands related to the movement. Subsequently, Dharmendra Pradhan resigned from the education minister position.
Additionally, action has started regarding compensation for affected student families.
