‘AIMIM Demands Owaisi’s Inclusion, Says India Bloc Alliance Cannot Succeed Without Him’

Shadab Chauhan of AIMIM asserts that Asaduddin Owaisi's leadership and popularity are essential for a complete and effective India Bloc coalition.

India Bloc Meeting Underway in Delhi

Opposition parties convened the India Bloc meeting in Delhi to discuss joint strategies against the current government.
However, AIMIM did not receive an invitation, raising concerns about the coalition’s inclusivity and unity.
This exclusion prompted AIMIM to publicly emphasize the need for Owaisi’s presence to complete the alliance.

AIMIM Voices Concerns

Shadab Chauhan, spokesperson for AIMIM in Uttar Pradesh, stated that the alliance cannot succeed without Owaisi.
He highlighted Owaisi as one of India’s most respected and capable parliamentarians, admired by diverse communities.
Chauhan added that excluding Owaisi risks weakening the opposition’s credibility and strategic impact nationwide.

Need to Set Aside Ego

Chauhan urged opposition leaders to set aside personal ego and prioritize public interest over individual ambitions.
He stressed, “All parties must unite against the anti-people BJP government, but without Owaisi, the coalition is incomplete.”
He further explained that Owaisi’s popularity across religions, regions, and castes makes him indispensable for collective success.

Elite Opposition Must Collaborate

According to Chauhan, elite opposition members must ensure inclusion of leaders with widespread public appeal.
He emphasized that the alliance requires credible, grassroots leaders to strengthen its reach and legitimacy.
Owaisi’s proven mass appeal and organizational strength make him critical to unify the coalition effectively.

Key Attendees and Participation

Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge leads the meeting, which includes 23 opposition parties, while smaller parties without MPs were excluded.
M.K. Stalin’s DMK and Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP maintained distance, highlighting strategic disagreements within the alliance.
Attendees include Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Omar Abdullah, Mamata Banerjee, Abhishek Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, and Tejashwi Yadav.
Shiv Sena (UTB) joined via video conferencing to ensure broader representation.
The agenda focuses on parliamentary strategy and street-level campaigns against the ruling government.

Congress leadership under Kharge aims to unify all parties for coordinated opposition strategies and enhanced political impact.
The meeting reinforces the importance of including popular and competent leaders to strengthen the India Bloc’s effectiveness.
