CJP Protest LIVE: 10 FIRs After Delhi Protest, RAF Attack Case Adds New Twist

Delhi Police registered 10 FIRs across five police stations after the CJP Parliament march, including a case linked to the RAF personnel attack.

The CJP protest in Delhi has entered a new phase after fresh legal action. The group has protested for 25 days over NEET paper leak accountability. During Monday’s CJP “Chalo Sansad” march, several incidents occurred. Therefore, Delhi Police registered 10 FIRs against protesters. These cases came from five different police stations across Delhi. Additionally, one FIR covers the alleged attack on an RAF personnel at Connaught Place. Police registered this case on Tuesday evening, July 21.

FIRs Filed Across Five Delhi Police Stations

Delhi Police registered cases at multiple stations after the protest events. The Parliament Street police station recorded four FIRs. Meanwhile, Connaught Place police station registered three FIRs. Furthermore, Mandir Marg police station, Barakhamba Road police station, and Kartavya Path police station registered one FIR each. According to Delhi Police, these cases involve different incidents and law-and-order related matters. The investigation into these cases continues.

Barakhamba Road FIR Includes Multiple BNS Sections

During the CJP protest, police also filed an FIR at Barakhamba Road police station. The case includes several sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The FIR covers charges related to obstructing public servants during lawful duties. It also includes provisions for disobeying government orders and using criminal force against officials.

The sections include Section 223 BNS for stopping public servants from performing duties. Section 221 BNS covers disobedience of government orders. Section 132 BNS deals with assault or criminal force against public servants.

Additionally, Sections 121(1) and 121(2) BNS relate to causing injuries to officials during unlawful gatherings. Section 189(3) BNS applies when someone remains part of an unlawful assembly knowingly. Section 190 BNS considers members responsible when a crime occurs for the assembly’s common purpose.

Moreover, Section 191(2) BNS covers rioting with dangerous weapons. Section 192 BNS deals with intentional provocation for riots. Section 195(1) BNS concerns obstructing officials or using force during duties. Section 109 BNS covers attempt to murder charges.

The FIR also includes Section 324(5) BNS related to serious damage to public or private property. Additionally, police included Section 3 of the Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act. This section addresses damage caused to government or public property.
