Champat Rai resigned after the donation theft controversy involving the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Govind Dev Giri’s private meeting with Rai created fresh discussions. Reports stated both leaders talked inside a room for two hours.
Earlier, Giri announced Rai’s resignation approval after Monday’s trust meeting.
Furthermore, Giri continued defending Rai after the resignation. He also described Rai as innocent during the controversy.

Govind Dev Giri serves as the treasurer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Trust.

Govind Dev Giri responded to questions about his meeting with Champat Rai. He said he visited Rai’s residence personally.
Giri explained that they had a positive conversation during the meeting. He also checked Rai’s health condition.
According to Giri, Champat Rai remains healthy and satisfied. He added that Rai has no anger regarding his resignation.
