E20 Fuel Debate: Where Can Delhi Drivers Still Find 100% Pure Petrol?

Amid rising discussions around ethanol-blended fuel, Delhi still offers select outlets selling pure petrol without ethanol mixing.

E20 fuel continues to remain a major discussion across India. People have shared different opinions about ethanol-blended petrol. Many vehicle owners have raised concerns about engine performance and mileage after using E20 fuel.

Additionally, several users claimed on social media that their vehicles provide lower mileage after E20 petrol usage. Therefore, some drivers now prefer completely pure petrol without ethanol blending.

Delhi has selected petrol outlets where customers can access 100 percent pure petrol options.

Where Can Delhi Drivers Get 100% Pure Petrol?

In Delhi, 100 percent pure petrol comes under XP100 by Indian Oil and Power 100 by Hindustan Petroleum. These premium fuels remain different from regular petrol because they contain no ethanol blending.

Furthermore, Delhi-NCR offers this premium petrol at selected retail outlets. Drivers can visit the petrol pump located in Dwarka Sector-9. Additionally, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited’s outlet at Radial Road Number 7, Block E, Connaught Place provides this fuel.

Apart from Delhi, selected Indian Oil pumps in Gurugram and Noida also offer this premium petrol.

What Exactly Is E20 Fuel?

E20 petrol contains 80 percent regular petrol and 20 percent ethanol. Ethanol works as a biofuel produced from sugarcane, maize, and other agricultural products.

Meanwhile, the government promotes E20 usage to reduce crude oil import dependence. It also aims to support farmers and reduce vehicle pollution.

Can E20 Affect Vehicle Components?

Vehicles designed without E20 compatibility may experience effects after long-term usage. Certain parts like fuel pipes, rubber hoses, gaskets, seals, and O-rings can wear faster. However, E20 petrol does not immediately damage engines. Older vehicles simply require regular servicing and fuel system checks.

Therefore, proper maintenance becomes more important for vehicles that were not designed for E20 fuel.

How Does E20 Impact Mileage?

E20 petrol may cause a slight mileage reduction in some vehicles. This happens because ethanol contains slightly lower energy than regular petrol.

However, the reduction usually remains limited. Vehicle condition, engine tuning, driving style, and maintenance also influence mileage differences.

Consequently, drivers should consider their vehicle specifications before choosing fuel options.
