CBSE Re-evaluation Portal Faces Cyber Assault as Thousands of Students Apply

Despite high-volume cyber attacks, over 16,000 students successfully submitted applications on the CBSE digital portal

CBSE’s Re-evaluation portal currently processes a surge of applications from students seeking answer sheet rechecks. By Tuesday afternoon, over 16,000 students successfully submitted applications, demonstrating strong digital engagement. The portal accommodates more than 8,000 simultaneous users, ensuring students complete submissions without significant delays.

Cyber Attack on the Portal

However, as student activity increased, the portal faced multiple cyber attacks by malicious actors attempting unauthorized access. Within just two minutes, attackers generated roughly 1.5 million hits and tried to access files over 100,000 times.

CBSE’s cyber security team immediately intervened, ensuring portal operations continued securely and applications remained unaffected.

Continuous Monitoring by Technical Teams

The board’s technical teams remained vigilant 24/7, monitoring and neutralizing attacks to guarantee uninterrupted access for students. Students experienced minimal inconvenience, thanks to proactive measures that sustained portal stability during peak submission times.

Portal Improvements Based on Feedback

CBSE incorporated enhancements after receiving student feedback, notably increasing session time limits for easier application completion. These improvements allowed students to upload documents and complete submissions more comfortably than previous years.

CBSE’s Commitment

The board emphasized its dedication to providing secure, efficient digital services for all post-result activities. Despite technical challenges and cyber threats, CBSE consistently strengthened portal infrastructure to protect student data and ensure smooth processing.

Authorities reassured students and parents that their personal information remains fully secure, highlighting a transparent and reliable re-evaluation process.
