Akhilesh Yadav Breaks Silence on Aakash Anand’s ‘Uncle’ Jibe, Turns Debate Toward Bigger Issues

SP chief rejects the ‘uncle’ debate, seeking discussion on education, exams, Ram Mandir, and continued dialogue over Jharkhand.

BSP national coordinator Aakash Anand targeted SP president Akhilesh Yadav during an election rally in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. He also attacked Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and called both leaders “uncle” from the stage. Now, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has responded to Anand’s remark. However, his reply quickly shifted attention towards wider political issues.

Akhilesh asked people not to get trapped in that argument. He said the real issue does not concern any “uncle” remark. Instead, Yadav linked education, examinations, and Ram Mandir with the ongoing political debate. Therefore, he argued that Parliament should discuss both matters.

The SP chief said leaders could have raised this point one week earlier. He added that BJP wants Lord Ram invoked alongside such discussions. Akhilesh argued that a proper debate would have brought Lord Ram’s name inside Parliament. Yet, he claimed BJP members do not want Ram Ji’s name mentioned in the House.

Akhilesh Backs Continued Dialogue Over Jharkhand

Turning towards Jharkhand, Akhilesh repeated his earlier position on resolving the dispute. He said dialogue offers the only path forward. Moreover, Yadav urged all sides to continue conversations without interruption. He added that the chief minister and government have expressed readiness for talks with students.

Dharmendra Yadav Targets Government Over Multiple Issues

SP MP Dharmendra Yadav also raised several issues during the same discussion. He demanded debate over mandi donation theft and sought an answer from the prime minister. Secondly, he asked the home minister to respond regarding violence against students. Dharmendra also questioned reservation “loot” while raising concerns about the education system.

The SP MP said politics should not centre around any “uncle” comment. He argued that authorities could have started discussion much earlier. However, 14-15 days went to waste during the continuing deadlock. Dharmendra claimed the government lacks answers and therefore keeps running away.

Finally, he demanded debate on the Ram Mandir issue under every circumstance.
