Patna Road Accident Turns Violent, Mob Burns Vehicles After Youth’s Death

A road accident in Patna’s bypass area triggered violence as an angry crowd burned vehicles, blocked traffic, and clashed with police.

A fatal road accident created chaos in Patna’s bypass police station area on Friday. A speeding bus hit 26-year-old Manish Kumar on the National Highway. The youth died instantly after the collision. Soon after, local residents and the victim’s family reached the spot. They became angry and started protesting on the road.

Mob Sets Bus And Vehicles On Fire After Accident

Meanwhile, the angry crowd blocked the highway and the situation turned violent. People surrounded the accident-hit bus and set it on fire. The burning vehicle created panic across the area.

Furthermore, firefighters reached the location to control the flames. However, the aggressive crowd opposed their action. Therefore, the fire team returned without completing the operation.

The crowd also confronted police personnel present at the site. As a result, officers moved back to manage the tense situation.

Several Vehicles Burned, Police And Media Faced Stone Pelting

Additionally, protesters targeted more vehicles parked near the accident location. The crowd set four to five other vehicles on fire.
