Abhijit Dipke’s Political Move Sparks Buzz, Will CJP Become a New Party?

After leading the Cockroach Janata Party protest, Abhijit Dipke revealed future plans and discussed a possible political journey based on public demand.

Abhijit Dipke, founder of Cockroach Janata Party, started planning his next move after the Jantar Mantar protest. His party officials will hold a meeting at his residence. Meanwhile, Dipke spoke to Reuters about his political plans. He clarified that he currently has no plan to enter politics.

However, he did not reject the possibility of joining politics later. He said the decision would depend on public opinion and support.

CJP focuses on youth voices before political decisions

During his Reuters interview, Dipke said CJP wants opinions from Gen Z members. He wants to understand issues that require attention. Furthermore, he said supporters will meet for two days from Wednesday. They will discuss future steps during these meetings. According to Dipke, the meeting will define CJP’s main agenda. It will also explore ways to expand the social movement. Additionally, he rejected immediate plans to contest elections. However, he said public demand could change the situation.

Dipke explained that if most people support the idea, he may consider forming a political party.

Later, he added that the party could contest elections based on people’s demands.

Dipke says India needs a public movement before a new party

Dipke said creating a new political party is not the right approach currently. According to him, India needs a public movement. He believes such a movement can rebuild trust and accountability across institutions. At present, CJP will focus on raising youth concerns across the country. Dipke said many young people have lost faith in leaders, courts, and media.

Moreover, he said CJP aims to continue highlighting issues affecting young citizens.

Dipke added that a future political path remains possible. If CJP keeps raising youth issues, maintains momentum, and pressures the government, it could gain support.
