Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanded Home Minister Amit Shah’s resignation over allegations of lathi charge and pellet gun use against students in Delhi. Meanwhile, Cockroach Janta Party chief Abhijeet Dipke supported Rahul Gandhi’s demand.
Dipke said Amit Shah should “definitely resign” after the alleged action during the student protest. He claimed that Amit Shah might have ordered the use of force during the 20 July “Parliament March”.
Furthermore, Dipke questioned the condition of democracy in India. He also raised concerns about several institutions, including the judiciary. He made these remarks after returning to his home in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Dipke Questions Claims About CJP Funding
Abhijeet Dipke addressed claims about external funding for CJP and its movement. He said such allegations would show a failure of a senior leader like Amit Shah.
“If CJP is controlled from outside, then what kind of Chanakya is he?” Dipke said while referring to Amit Shah.
He also alleged that Amit Shah alone could have ordered force against students during the 20 July protest. Dipke said nobody else could have issued such an order.
Democracy Protection Needs Public Participation
While speaking to journalists at his residence, Dipke said saving democracy cannot remain only an opposition issue. He urged citizens to unite for protecting democratic values.
According to Dipke, questions also exist around the judiciary. He referred to political developments involving Shiv Sena and NCP while discussing the use of ED and CBI.
He said major institutions should protect democracy instead of supporting one person’s alleged dominance. Dipke added that citizens and opposition groups must work together to stop such situations.
Dipke Criticises Prahlad Joshi’s Appointment
Abhijeet Dipke also criticised Prahlad Joshi’s appointment as the new Education Minister. He called him an unusual person during his remarks.
Dipke alleged that removing Dharmendra Pradhan and bringing another person sent a wrong message. He questioned the government’s decisions related to education leadership.
He also alleged that the government supports criminals and rapists. Dipke referred to parole cases involving people like Ram Rahim while making his statement.
