Reservation Debate: Ramdas Athawale Breaks Silence On ‘Remove Reservation’ Campaign

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale criticised the online reservation removal campaign and said the NDA government does not support such demands.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale reacted to the growing reservation removal campaign linked with the CJP movement. He said a hateful campaign started under the cover of the CJP protest.

Athawale clarified that the NDA government does not support such demands. He also said Prime Minister Narendra Modi does not support these claims.

Furthermore, he called these demands baseless and rejected the campaign completely.

Minister Claims Misleading Campaign Against Reservation

On Wednesday, July 29, Athawale shared a post on X regarding the issue. He said opponents found a new way to target the government through the CJP movement.

According to Athawale, social media platforms are witnessing a misleading and hateful “Remove Reservation” campaign. He claimed some people are deliberately presenting reservation only as a poverty removal tool.

Additionally, he warned people operating behind the scenes. Athawale said the NDA government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reject such demands.

He added that Modi continues to follow the ideas of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar with full dedication.

RHA Gains Momentum After CJP Movement

After Abhijeet Dipke’s CJP movement gained attention, several issue-based online campaigns started appearing. One such campaign is the Reservation Removal Movement.

The group opposes caste-based reservation and is rapidly growing on social media. Its Instagram account has crossed 56 lakh followers.

However, the group describes itself as non-political. It demands the removal of caste-based reservation.

Meanwhile, the Reservation Removal Movement gained online popularity during nationwide student protests led by CJP last week.
