The government introduced an important education reform bill in Lok Sabha on Monday. The bill aims to prevent paper leaks across examinations. However, opposition members created a strong protest during permission for introducing the legislation. The House allowed the government to present the bill despite the disruption. Meanwhile, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju appealed to opposition members. He asked them to stop protests and participate in the discussion.
Kiren Rijiju Urges Opposition To Support Discussion
Kiren Rijiju said the government brought a very important bill against paper leaks. He requested Congress and other opposition parties to understand the issue’s seriousness. Furthermore, Rijiju urged all parties to join the debate on the proposed law. He said the government wants detailed discussion before passing the bill. According to Rijiju, the legislation needs wider discussion inside the House. He also asked members to cooperate for its approval.
Rijiju Rejects Opposition Demand Over PM And HM Statements
The opposition demanded statements from the Prime Minister and Home Minister regarding the issue.
Responding to this demand, Kiren Rijiju said it attempts to shift attention. He stated that the government currently focuses on discussing and passing the bill.
Meanwhile, Rijiju maintained that the priority remains strengthening action against paper leaks. He asked members to focus on the proposed legislation.
