Amid ongoing student protests at Jantar-Mantar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the formation of a fast-track court to handle NEET paper leak cases, ensuring quick justice for all accused. He confirmed on social media that the court would address all paper leak cases, promising strict punishment to anyone endangering students’ futures. He emphasized that the government issued clear instructions to relevant departments to enforce this measure, underlining that student welfare remains the highest priority.

Government Action and Arrests Already Initiated
Two days prior, during the NDA parliamentary meeting, Modi emphasized that no compromise would occur regarding students’ future. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju informed the media that the government had already arrested 13 accused. He explained that immediate corrective action followed the incident, and exams were cancelled and rescheduled to maintain fairness. Modi also instructed authorities to prevent future paper leaks, signaling zero tolerance for malpractice.
Protests in Parliament and Public Support
The paper leak issue drew significant opposition criticism as they accused the government of inaction. Meanwhile, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) sustained protests at Jantar-Mantar for nearly a month, demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Various opposition parties, including Congress, supported the student protests, while the issue continued to dominate parliamentary discussions during the monsoon session. The government reassured that it would address all concerns through legal channels and administrative action, reaffirming students’ rights and demanding accountability from all responsible parties.
