Arvind Kejriwal Targets Rekha Gupta Over Child Policy, Asks Hindu Families “How Many Children?”

Arvind Kejriwal highlighted differences between RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s remarks and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s welfare scheme rules.

Aam Aadmi Party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal targeted BJP and RSS over remarks related to family size. He claimed differences between Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s statements.

Kejriwal said these remarks created confusion among Hindus about the number of children they should have. He shared his views through a post on social media platform X.

Moreover, Kejriwal wrote that Mohan Bhagwat advised Hindus to have more children. Meanwhile, he said Rekha Gupta’s scheme excludes families with more than three children.

He questioned both leaders and asked them to explain their position clearly. Kejriwal asked what Hindu families should finally follow.

Delhi Lakshmi Scheme Eligibility Rules Explained

The Delhi Lakshmi scheme includes specific conditions for women seeking benefits. Under the scheme, women must be between 21 and 60 years old. Additionally, the family’s yearly income must remain below ₹2.5 lakh. The woman must also hold Delhi residency for at least 10 years.

The scheme requires women to have three or fewer children. After meeting these conditions, the government provides ₹2,500 monthly financial assistance.

Meanwhile, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat advised Hindu families to consider having at least three children. He linked his statement with population balance, demographic science and declining birth rates.
