Saurabh Bhardwaj Criticizes Raghav Chadha’s Actions, Questions His Political Approach

AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj responds to Raghav Chadha’s video, highlighting key issues in their political approach.

On Thursday, April 2, AAP Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha posted a video on social media. This video came after Chadha’s removal from the position of Deputy Leader of the AAP in the Rajya Sabha. In the video, Chadha discussed the issues he raised in Parliament during his time as deputy leader. Following this video, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj shared his response.

Bhardwaj Responds to Chadha’s Video

Saurabh Bhardwaj expressed his thoughts on the video, stating that Raghav Chadha’s approach had deviated from the core values of the AAP. He remarked, “We are all soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal, and we’ve learned one thing: the one who fears, dies.” Bhardwaj emphasized that AAP leaders must raise public issues fearlessly and directly challenge the government. He also noted the increasing suppression of voices against the government, especially those questioning its actions.

Government’s Crackdown on Dissent

Bhardwaj highlighted that anyone raising serious concerns against the government faces harsh repercussions. According to him, the government has been banning individuals from social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. He stated, “FIRs are being filed, and cases are being imposed against those questioning the government.” He also mentioned that the government does not care about maintaining soft PR in Parliament, especially for small parties like AAP that receive limited time to speak.

Focusing on National Issues

Bhardwaj stressed that talking about trivial matters in Parliament, like samosas, is not as important as addressing national issues. He pointed out that in every state, the ruling party manipulates the election system by cutting votes and creating fake ones. “This is happening in West Bengal as well,” he added. Bhardwaj further emphasized that opposition parties tried to move an impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) but were stopped by someone in the AAP.

Fear of Addressing Punjab Issues

Bhardwaj also criticized Chadha for not raising the issues of Punjab, his home state, in Parliament. He mentioned, “Whenever any major issue arises, you don’t walk out with the opposition. In recent years, you haven’t raised any questions against the PM or the BJP government.” He also pointed out that the AAP remained silent despite over 160 party workers in Gujarat facing false cases and arrests.

Reflecting on Political Change

Bhardwaj reflected on the growth and changes within AAP, saying, “Our leaders were once in jail. Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on false charges while serving as CM, and back then, you weren’t around. You went away and hid.” He further emphasized that for true political change, AAP must raise the real issues with courage, addressing them head-on with the BJP government. Bhardwaj urged, “You must ask tough questions, or else your soft issues won’t matter. The BJP will start supporting you on social media, and that’s when you should reflect on how far you’ve come.”
