Safety Of Indians In Gulf Region

Importantly, Modi highlighted that nearly 1 crore Indians live and work in Gulf countries. Therefore, he called their safety the government’s top priority. Moreover, he confirmed that authorities already evacuated over 3.75 lakh Indians safely. Additionally, he stated that about 1,000 people returned from Iran, including over 700 medical students. Consequently, the government prepared a strategy to maintain steady petrol, diesel, and gas supply. Moreover, he said India imports around 60 percent of LPG needs. Thus, authorities prioritised domestic requirements and increased production.

Expanding Energy Security Measures

Furthermore, he explained that ethanol blending reached 20 percent in petrol. Also, railway electrification reduced pressure on energy demand.

Agriculture And Fertiliser Preparedness

Meanwhile, Modi addressed concerns about agriculture and fertiliser supply. He said the country currently holds enough food grains. Moreover, he confirmed adequate fertiliser availability for farmers. Additionally, he noted that six new urea plants started operations to reduce risks.

India Ready For All Scenarios

Finally, Modi assured that India maintains constant communication with global partners. Therefore, he emphasised efforts to keep sea routes secure. Moreover, he expressed confidence that India will handle this crisis effectively.
