16-Year-Old Student Allegedly Assaulted Inside Sleeper Bus

Delhi has witnessed a shocking case involving a 16-year-old student inside a sleeper bus. Delhi Police arrested driver Kuldeep and conductor Sandeep following the alleged assault. The incident reportedly occurred during the night of August 4. The girl comes from Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district and studies in Class 11.

Student Left Home Without Informing Family

According to police sources, the student left home without informing her family after becoming upset with them. She planned to visit her cousin, who lives in Noida. However, heavy rain and darkness caused her to mistakenly get down at Pari Chowk. Soon after, an empty sleeper bus passed through the area.

Driver And Conductor Offered Her A Ride

The student signalled for the vehicle to stop. Subsequently, the driver and conductor stopped and offered her a ride towards Noida Sector 63. Police sources said the conductor allegedly began behaving inappropriately after the bus started moving. The girl alleged that both men assaulted her and threatened her with death when she resisted.

Student Reached Kashmiri Gate Police

Later, the accused allegedly dropped her near Ring Road, close to Kashmiri Gate bus terminal. They then fled from the location. The frightened student contacted Kashmiri Gate Police and reported the incident. Following her complaint, officers arrested both suspects from a bus parking area in Timarpur.

Police Seized Sleeper Bus For Examination

Police also seized the sleeper bus involved in the case. Authorities have sent the vehicle for forensic examination. The investigation now includes examination of the vehicle involved in the incident.

Bus Had Earlier Gone For Repairs

Police sources said the bus had earlier developed a fault. The driver and conductor had taken it to a workshop in Surajpur for repairs. After completing the repair, they travelled towards Timarpur in the empty vehicle. Meanwhile, they encountered the student at Pari Chowk.

47-Kilometre Journey Ended Near Kashmiri Gate

The bus then travelled nearly 47 kilometres before reaching Kashmiri Gate. Since the vehicle had sleeper berths and curtains, people outside could not see inside during the journey.
