A day before Independence Day, bomb threats targeted several locations across Delhi. Threatening calls mentioned Jama Nagar House, Jhandewalan Building, MB Saket office and the DM office. They also named IGI Airport Terminal 3 and an SDM office inside Delhi Cantonment.
The reference describes bomb-threat calls concerning five locations. Immediately afterward, bomb squads, police teams and other security agencies began responding.
Security personnel quickly moved across the affected areas. Meanwhile, authorities started intensive searches to identify any suspicious material.
The Delhi Fire Department said teams thoroughly searched these locations. However, officials found nothing suspicious during their checks.
Delhi High Court Receives Separate Bomb Threat Through Email
Meanwhile, Delhi High Court received another bomb threat through email. The court’s Registrar General immediately contacted Delhi Police officials after receiving the message.
Security teams then began checking the High Court premises. Bomb squad personnel joined the operation alongside sniffer dogs.
The threat prompted immediate coordination between court authorities and police officers. However, officials reported no immediate danger during the ongoing inspection.
High Court Official Says Situation Remains Under Control
Delhi High Court Joint Secretary Advocate Kunal commented on the situation. He said the bomb threat appeared fake. Additionally, Kunal stated that everything remained under control.
According to him, bomb squad teams and sniffer dogs continued scanning the entire area. He also said authorities faced no danger at that moment.
Therefore, security agencies continued precautionary checks despite finding nothing suspicious at the other threatened locations. The alerts came one day before Independence Day, prompting swift action across the capital.
