Govinda-Sunita divorce buzz returns after family court appearance

Stand-up comedian and YouTuber Samay Raina received major relief from the Supreme Court. The court cancelled every FIR against Raina and four others. Those cases concerned controversial and insensitive remarks about disabled people on India’s Got Latent. The court acted after the petitioner NGO shared a significant update. According to the organisation, the comedians now remain in contact with them. They also expressed readiness to promote achievements of people living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy, or SMA. However, the Supreme Court will continue hearing another aspect. It will consider directions for government assistance to people affected by SMA. Court Praises Awareness Efforts but Keeps Larger Issue Alive In its order, the Supreme Court noted efforts by Samay Raina and others for differently abled people. They tried organising awareness programmes and collecting funds. The court observed that sincere efforts can produce positive results. It also described them as highly talented young individuals. Furthermore, judges said constructive work in the right direction could bring good outcomes. However, the bench will continue examining the broader matter. It plans to seek suggestions directly from differently abled people. Their inputs could help authorities improve monitoring of such content. Moreover, the court wants those suggestions to guide future directions. The bench closed proceedings concerning respondents six through ten, who are the accused comedians. It cancelled criminal action against everyone in that group. Additionally, the court ended all remaining proceedings connected with them. Still, judges will list the larger issue separately for issuing broader directions. Ranveer Allahbadia’s Petition Still Remains Before Supreme Court The India’s Got Latent episode involved in the controversy dates to November 14, 2024. Filming occurred at Khar Habitat in Mumbai on that date. The programme later reached audiences through its broadcast. Several influencers and comedians subsequently faced criminal cases over insensitive remarks concerning disabled people. Meanwhile, YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s petition remains pending in the same wider controversy. He also faced a case over allegedly offensive comments. Allahbadia runs the YouTube channel known as BeerBiceps. He approached the Supreme Court seeking relief from cases registered against him. His petition still remains before the court. Earlier, judges granted him interim protection from arrest. Therefore, Samay Raina and four others have secured closure of their criminal proceedings. However, the Supreme Court continues examining broader safeguards around such content.

WhatsApp’s New Security Feature: Instant Alerts When Your Account Is Accessed on Another Device

WhatsApp introduces a new feature to improve security, notifying users immediately if their account is accessed from another device.

ShareTweetShareEmailShare

WhatsApp users will soon receive immediate alerts if their account is accessed on another device. This new feature is designed to enhance security and give users more control.

Real-Time Alerts for Increased Security

The new update will notify users whenever another device accesses their WhatsApp account while the primary phone is in use. Currently, users have to manually check the “Linked Devices” section, often forgetting to do so. With this update, WhatsApp will send an automatic alert, eliminating the need for constant checking.

Solving the Login Issue on Public Computers

WhatsApp Web and multi-device support offer convenience but also come with risks. Often, users forget to log out after using WhatsApp on public or shared computers. With the new feature, users will get a notification the moment another device starts using WhatsApp. This allows users to log out from all devices and secure their account.

How the Feature Works

This new feature is carefully designed to avoid unnecessary notifications. It will only alert users when both the primary device and a linked device are active simultaneously. If WhatsApp is only used on the secondary device, no alert will be sent. This system ensures that notifications are triggered only for relevant activities.

Moreover, the alerts will only appear on the primary device, where users have control over their account.
