The INDIA alliance convened in Delhi with several opposition parties attending the crucial discussion.
Uddhav Thackeray’s faction, represented by spokesperson Anand Dubey, shared its perspective on the alliance dynamics.
Dubey noted that some leaders like Arvind Kejriwal, M.K. Stalin, and select CPM members remained distant, while most participated actively.
He confirmed that Thackeray joined the meeting virtually, contributing to the strategy and deliberations.
Support for Rahul Gandhi and Regional Parties
Anand Dubey highlighted that Congress holds the largest share in the alliance and Rahul Gandhi serves as Leader of Opposition.
He emphasized that the alliance faces occasional disagreements, but the core objective remains unity against BJP policies.
Dubey remarked, “Every household experiences conflicts, but prioritizing collective strategy ensures the alliance’s strength.”
The meeting discussed urgent topics such as NEET paper leaks, rising inflation, and unemployment affecting citizens.
Congress Must Promote Regional Allies
Responding to concerns about Congress neglecting regional parties, Dubey insisted that the party must empower state-level allies.
He stated that regional parties like Shiv Sena, DMK, AAP, TMC, Samajwadi Party, and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha deserve opportunities.
Dubey stressed that Congress should lead inclusively, allowing regional parties to exercise influence in their respective states.
He underlined, “The Prime Minister should be Rahul Gandhi, while regional parties must receive their due roles.”
Strategic Advice from Shiv Sena UBT
Dubey further recommended that Congress must establish alliances consistently across all regions.
Skipping states such as Bihar or Uttar Pradesh would weaken collective opposition against the BJP.
He cautioned that incomplete alliance coordination risks undermining electoral strategy and overall effectiveness.
Therefore, full collaboration is essential to challenge BJP dominance and maintain a unified front in national politics.
