Defence Minister Rajnath Singh visited Kerala on Thursday while addressing a public gathering ahead of assembly elections. Moreover, he warned that amid the Iran conflict, a neighbouring country could attempt mischief, while India will respond strongly and decisively if required.

During his speech, Rajnath Singh issued a clear warning about possible hostile actions from a neighbouring nation. Furthermore, he stated firmly that if any such act occurs, India will deliver a strong response, while adding that “Operation Sindoor continues.”
Navy Readiness and Hormuz Monitoring
Meanwhile, the Defence Minister said the Indian Navy safely escorts oil tankers through the Hormuz Strait. Additionally, he emphasised that armed forces remain fully alert, while India continues to closely monitor developments across the Middle East region.
Fuel Supply Assurance to Citizens
Rajnath Singh reassured citizens that petrol, diesel, and gas supplies remain sufficient across the country. Moreover, he stated that India stands prepared to handle any energy crisis situation, while also criticising opposition remarks targeting the government.
Praise for Prime Minister’s Diplomacy
Additionally, Rajnath Singh praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for protecting India’s interests through strong diplomatic efforts. He noted that Iran has allowed some Indian ships to pass through the Hormuz Strait, while also appreciating support shown by Indian citizens toward Iran.
India’s Rising Defence Exports
Furthermore, Rajnath Singh highlighted India’s transformation from an importing nation to a growing exporter of defence equipment. He stated that defence exports rose from around ₹600 crore in 2014 to ₹38,500 crore currently.
Moreover, he added that during 2025-26, defence exports recorded a sharp growth of 62.66 percent compared to the previous year.
