PM Modi-Sharad Pawar Meeting Sparks Buzz, What Happened Behind Closed Doors?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met NCP chief Sharad Pawar and his daughter Supriya Sule on Wednesday. The meeting took place at Parliament House during the ongoing monsoon session. During the interaction, PM Modi held Sharad Pawar’s hand. The meeting happened amid protests over student issues and the Jantar Mantar demonstration. Interestingly, Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule visited Jantar Mantar one day earlier. They openly supported the Cockroach Janata Party and protesting students.

Political Questions Rise After Parliament Meeting

Both leaders had criticised the lathi-charge against students during the protest. However, details about the discussion between PM Modi, Sharad Pawar and Supriya Sule remain unavailable. Meanwhile, the meeting has increased political speculation. The purpose behind the conversation has not been revealed yet.

Sharad Pawar And Supriya Sule Joined Protest Site

Earlier, NCP president Sharad Pawar reached Jantar Mantar with Supriya Sule. Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal and several opposition leaders also visited the protest location. During the visit, Pawar met injured protesters and people connected with the movement. Additionally, he condemned the lathi-charge against students.

According to a statement released by CJP, Pawar said NCP stands firmly with students. He added that the party will raise these issues in Parliament.

Furthermore, Pawar said the support will continue until justice arrives and accountability gets established.

Several Opposition Leaders Supported Student Protest

Other leaders who reached Jantar Mantar included Sanjay Raut and Arvind Sawant from the Uddhav faction.

Rajya Sabha member Mahua Maji, AAP leader Gopal Rai, Kerala Congress (M) leader Jose K Mani and Left party MPs also attended.

CJP workers marched from Jantar Mantar to Parliament House on July 20. During this march, clashes occurred between students and police personnel.

CJP Continues Protest Over Multiple Demands

CJP has continued its protest since June 20. The organisation is raising concerns about paper leaks and education reforms.

Additionally, protesters are demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. They are also seeking compensation for NEET students who died by suicide.
