A disturbing development has emerged in the Gomtinagar triple murder-suicide case in Lucknow. Investigators have reportedly found a WhatsApp status linked to Manas Bajpai. The status contained his alleged confession and serious allegations against wife Divya Mishra. It also indicated his intention to kill his sister before ending his life.
The status said Manas had killed his wife because she allegedly cheated on him. He then wrote that he planned to kill himself and his sister. He also mentioned Pragya and Bharat in that message. The status suggested that Manas had planned his next actions before carrying them out.
Wife died after shooting outside ICICI Bank
According to the reference, Manas arrived at an ICICI Bank branch in Gomtinagar on Thursday morning. He carried two pistols and called his wife Divya outside the bank. Divya worked as a bank officer and also served as journalist Pragya Mishra’s sister.
After Divya came outside, Manas allegedly opened fire. She later died during treatment. Following the incident, Manas travelled by auto to his home near Husadiya intersection.
There, he allegedly shot his sister. Manas then shot himself, ending his life. The sequence reportedly matched the actions mentioned earlier through his WhatsApp status.
The message therefore became a significant detail in understanding the reported sequence. It also contained Manas’s attempt to justify the attack against his wife
