A massive fire broke out in a building in Lucknow’s Aliganj police station area in Purnia locality on Monday and the blaze started at the ground floor Head Hopper 3D Art Studio before spreading rapidly through the entire building and filling it with dense smoke and flames as the fire quickly trapped upper floors and created complete panic inside the structure.
Panic Inside Coaching Centre and Desperate Escapes
At the time of the incident, a coaching centre operated on the second floor where students and staff remained present and as smoke filled the building panic spread immediately among them and several people jumped from balconies and rooftops to escape while this tragic attempt resulted in 14 confirmed deaths and multiple serious injuries.

Emergency Response and Government Action
Soon after the incident, senior officials reached the site and coordinated rescue operations while Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak became emotional while sharing casualty details and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cancelled his Aligarh visit and returned to Lucknow to monitor the situation closely and ensure rapid response.
Severe Visibility Crisis and Wall Breaching
Eyewitness reports confirmed that dense smoke filled the entire building after the fire broke out and visibility dropped drastically which made rescue extremely difficult and forced teams to cut through multiple walls to enter the building while NDRF, fire brigade, and police jointly handled evacuation operations.
Victim Extraction and Ongoing Search Operation
During rescue efforts, teams used stretchers and wet blankets to pull out victims and officials confirmed that 11 people survived while rescue teams continued searching for others trapped inside the building and operations continued under extremely dangerous conditions with continuous coordination among agencies.

Large Scale Fire Control Operation
Nearly two dozen fire brigade vehicles reached the location immediately after receiving information and teams continuously sprayed water to control the fire while DG Fire, JCP, LDA officials, and district administration monitored the entire operation and supervised rescue and firefighting efforts closely.
Hospital Response and Medical Treatment
Several injured individuals reached King George’s Medical University Trauma Centre where doctors placed them under continuous observation and hospital authorities arranged special treatment facilities while medical teams closely monitored patients and some victims remained in critical condition requiring urgent care.
Severely Injured Individuals Evacuated
During rescue operations, teams pulled out one person in extremely critical condition with no visible movement and another victim wrapped in a wet red blanket was placed on a stretcher while a third individual also reached hospital care although officials did not release any confirmed health updates.
Confirmed Death Toll and Identification Status
Authorities confirmed 14 deaths in the incident while identification of victims including children and others remains unclear and officials stated that final details will emerge only after completion of rescue operations and full verification of affected individuals.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took immediate cognizance of the tragedy and directed officials to speed up rescue operations and ensure proper treatment for injured people while also ordering full support for affected families and continuous monitoring of relief work.
