India Tears Into Pakistan At UNSC After Kashmir Remark, Recalls Kabul Attack

India rejected Pakistan’s Kashmir reference at the UNSC and accused it of hiding failures through terror, violence, and hypocrisy.

India strongly criticised Pakistan at the United Nations Security Council. The exchange took place during UNSC’s annual debate on civilian protection in armed conflicts. During the discussion, India said Pakistan carries a stained history of genocide and violence. Moreover, India accused Pakistan of spreading terror inside and outside its borders to hide failures.

Kashmir Remark Draws Sharp Reply

Pakistan tried to raise Jammu and Kashmir during the meeting. However, India rejected the attempt completely. India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Harish Parvathaneni, gave a sharp reply. He said Pakistan had no standing to discuss issues that belong entirely to India’s internal matters.

Indian Envoy Calls Pakistan’s Move Absurd

Ambassador Parvathaneni called Pakistan’s position strange and laughable. He said Pakistan carries an old and stained record of genocide. Therefore, he questioned how such a country could discuss India’s internal affairs. His remarks placed Pakistan’s human rights record under direct global scrutiny.

India Mentions Kabul Hospital Attack

India also raised Pakistan’s March airstrikes on Afghanistan. Parvathaneni said the world had not forgotten that attack. He said Pakistan targeted Kabul’s Ummeed de-addiction hospital during the holy month of Ramadan. At that time, he added, peace and prayers shaped the atmosphere.

UN Figures Cited On Casualties

India cited United Nations data while describing the strike. According to India, 269 innocent civilians died in that attack. Additionally, 122 people suffered injuries. India said no one can describe a hospital as a military target. The attack happened when people were leaving a mosque after evening prayers.

India Calls Pakistan Hypocritical

India also called Pakistan hypocritical during the debate. It said a country targeting innocent civilians in darkness cannot lecture others on international law. Furthermore, Parvathaneni said Pakistan bombs its own people and plans massacres. He argued that such conduct fits Pakistan’s record.

Operation Searchlight Also Raised

India then referred to 1971 and Operation Searchlight. It said Pakistan’s army enabled mass rape and atrocities against 4 lakh women. These crimes took place in then East Pakistan, now Bangladesh. Through this reference, India linked Pakistan’s present conduct with its violent past.

Debate Leaves Diplomatic Message

The UNSC exchange turned intense after Pakistan raised Kashmir. However, India used the moment to highlight Kabul, terrorism, and 1971. As a result, the debate shifted from Pakistan’s claim to its own record. India’s message remained direct: Pakistan cannot hide violence behind Kashmir references.
