A strong earthquake shook China again early Monday, May 18. The tremors hit Guangxi in southern China. The quake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale. CCTV Reports Damage To 13 Buildings
China’s state media outlet CCTV reported major structural damage after the earthquake. According to CCTV, at least 13 buildings collapsed because of the tremors. Many people suffered injuries during the incident. However, officials have not reported any serious injury. Among the injured, four people entered hospital for treatment. The destruction also caused two deaths.
Public Transport And Trains Face Disruption
Public transport suffered disruption after the tremors. Rail movement faced special concern after the earthquake. Authorities will restore train services only after proper safety checks. Therefore, passengers may face delays on some routes. Chinese railway officials said teams are checking rail lines for strength after the quake.
