Left’s Kerala Fort Cracks, TMC’s Bengal Bloom Fades as Modi Heads to BJP HQ

As BJP shows strength in Assam and Bengal, Congress urges patience while Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Bengal trends hint at power shifts.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the BJP headquarters this evening, as trends show strong BJP performance across five states. Moreover, BJP appears set to return to power in Assam. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee’s government looks under pressure in Bengal, where political momentum has shifted sharply.

The update came as vote trends continued through the day. Therefore, Modi plans to reach the BJP headquarters around 6:30 pm. Also, Bengal’s Assembly has 294 seats. However, officials count votes on only 293 seats. Election authorities will also declare results for Tamil Nadu’s 234 seats and Kerala’s 140 seats.

Congress gave its first response on Bengal trends through party leader Pawan Khera. “Please wait a little,” Khera said. “It is too early right now.” Then he added that the situation may start becoming clear only around 11-12 at night. However, he also said conditions could change even after that.

Khera further said democracy would win. Also, he expressed full confidence in Congress. He said the party would win in several states where it fights directly. Additionally, he said Congress holds a strong position in those places.

Meanwhile, trends show possible power changes in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and West Bengal. In Tamil Nadu, TVK leads. In Bengal, BJP leads. In Kerala, Congress moves ahead. Therefore, the trends suggest a dramatic election day across key states.

By 10 am, Election Commission trends showed BJP leading on 36 seats in Bengal. Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress led on 14 seats. Additionally, the Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha led on one seat. The evening will now draw attention to BJP headquarters, where Modi’s visit could mark a major political moment.
