Shiv Sena UBT Split Shock: Sanjay Raut Warns Rebels, Says “Resign If You Want to Leave”

Amid claims of six MPs defecting, Raut attacks BJP over “horse trading” and asserts most MPs still with Uddhav camp

Amid rising claims of a split in Shiv Sena UBT, Sanjay Raut launched a strong attack on rebel MPs in Delhi. He stated that those who want to leave should resign from their posts. Additionally, he accused the BJP of encouraging horse trading and targeting the party.
The remarks came during a press conference held at his residence in Delhi on Wednesday.

Raut Defends Party Unity and Warns Rebel MPs

Sanjay Raut said he still believes all MPs are united with the party. However, he insisted that those choosing to leave must resign immediately. He also reminded that workers invested significant effort, money, and dedication in winning these MPs.
Furthermore, he demanded clarification from MPs whose names are linked with the Shinde faction.

Raut stated that voters elected these representatives under the Uddhav Thackeray leadership.
Therefore, he argued, they cannot simply switch sides without accountability.
Additionally, he confirmed that legal action preparations have already begun within the party.
According to him, current information suggests all MPs still remain aligned with Shiv Sena UBT.

Meeting Claims and Loyalty Statements

Raut mentioned a key meeting held on 14 June involving party MPs. He said four MPs attended in person while others joined online. During that meeting, all participants reportedly confirmed loyalty to the party.
Moreover, he revealed that two MPs even took oaths invoking Sain Baba and Maa Bhavani. Despite this, Raut warned that if anyone still plans to leave, consequences will follow. He also announced a parliamentary party meeting scheduled for 11 AM the next day. He emphasized that no MP has directly communicated any decision to quit.
According to him, all MPs won elections under the face of Uddhav Thackeray.

BJP Accused of “Turning Democracy into a Market”

Raut further accused the BJP of undermining democratic values. He claimed that Maharashtra witnessed betrayal and alleged large-scale horse trading overnight. Additionally, he demanded transparency on alleged political “rates” involved in shifting loyalties.
He also said the BJP is trying to break Shiv Sena similar to TMC.

Counter Statements from UBT Leaders

Meanwhile, MP Arvind Sawant rejected claims of any resignation or defection. He said a letter was sent to the Speaker ensuring constitutional procedures. He added that constitutional norms are being violated repeatedly in current politics. MP Anil Desai also questioned who is influencing MPs to switch sides.

He further said media reports mention money-related allegations, which need clarity.
Both leaders confirmed that internal discussions will continue in the party meeting.

Rajabhau Waze Denies Defection Rumours

Amid speculation, Nashik MP Rajabhau Waze clarified his position in Delhi. He stated clearly that he stands with Uddhav Thackeray. He also said he has no contact with Eknath Shinde or his camp.
According to him, he is in Delhi only for a committee meeting.
