Meta has started rolling out Instagram Plus subscriptions to reduce dependency on ad revenue. Moreover, paid plans now include Facebook Plus and WhatsApp subscriptions. Previously, these were under testing, and now the company has officially launched them.
Features for Story Control
Instagram Plus offers tools for users posting stories frequently. Subscribers can track story re-views and create audience lists beyond close friends. Additionally, they can keep stories live beyond 24 hours and spotlight one story weekly to increase visibility. Users can also search viewer lists, watch stories anonymously, and post to their profile without appearing in followers’ feeds.
Customization Options
Subscribers can customize app icons, use animated super heart reactions, and add more profile pins. Furthermore, Meta hinted at more features being added later. Facebook Plus will include similar features as Instagram Plus.
Pricing and Access
Meta set Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus subscriptions at $3.99 (≈₹380) per month. Additionally, core functions like posting, messaging, and scrolling remain free. However, pricing for India has not been fully announced yet.
