Amit Shah’s Bold Claim: BJP Will Win 110 Seats In Bengal Elections, Promises Major Change

After the first phase of voting, Amit Shah predicts BJP’s landslide victory in Bengal with promises of reform and development

The first phase of voting in the West Bengal elections took place on April 23. On April 24, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the media. In a press conference, he made a bold prediction that BJP would win 110 of the 152 seats. He claimed that Mamata Banerjee’s time was up, and BJP was ready to form the government in Bengal.

Confidence Soars After Record-Breaking Voting Turnout

Amit Shah shared that the voter turnout in the first phase of the elections was extremely high, breaking previous records. He praised the people of Bengal for voting peacefully and stated that this marks a turning point for change in the state. He also expressed gratitude to the Bengal police and Election Commission for ensuring that no fatalities occurred during the elections.

Bengal Voters Opt For Development, Shah Says

Shah emphasized that the people of Bengal had chosen development over the status quo. He remarked that the electorate had made their decision clear, choosing a future of progress and change. According to him, BJP was heading toward victory in more than 110 seats in the first phase, and a massive win was assured in the second phase.

Peaceful Elections: A Sign Of Change

Shah noted that fewer than 30 injuries were reported, highlighting the peaceful nature of the election. He said that this peaceful voting was a clear indication that Bengal was now ready for change. He confidently stated that the voters had shown up in large numbers, proving that their support was not only there but also being translated into action at the polling booths.

Targeting Mamata, Shah Promises Security For Women

In a direct challenge to Mamata Banerjee, Shah declared that Bengal’s next Chief Minister would be a native of the state, not Mamata’s nephew. He assured the people, particularly women, that a BJP government would ensure their safety and well-being.

Ending ‘Bhatija Tax’ and Rooting Out Corruption

Shah also made a significant promise: once BJP forms the government, the ‘Bhatija Tax’ (referring to the corruption involving Mamata’s nephew) would end. He pledged to set up large reserve centers for the benefit of farmers. Shah revealed that over ₹10,000 crores had been misappropriated through corruption in Bengal and promised to release a white paper on the issue. He further stated that a Supreme Court judge would conduct an investigation into the corruption.

Focus On Change, Law, and Infrastructure Development

Shah outlined the core goals of BJP’s vision for Bengal: a state free of illegal immigration, extortion, and a new infrastructure. He promised to establish the rule of law and end the dominance of cadres over the state. Referring to Assam’s success, Shah vowed to make Bengal free from illegal land occupations.
