Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, Denies Reports of Treatment in Russia
Recent reports suggest Iran’s newly appointed Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is receiving medical treatment in Moscow. These claims follow an attack that allegedly injured Khamenei and resulted in the death of his father, Ali Khamenei. Some reports claim Russian President Vladimir Putin personally invited Mojtaba to Moscow for treatment after his injuries. However, the Iranian government has firmly denied these allegations and insists that Khamenei is healthy and remains in Iran.
Injuries and Moscow Trip Following Attack
According to Kuwaiti newspaper ‘Al-Jarida,’ Mojtaba Khamenei was injured during the attack on February 28, which killed his father. Reports suggest that after the attack, Mojtaba was discreetly flown to Moscow for treatment on a Russian military aircraft. His leg surgery was reportedly successful, and he continues his recovery in a private hospital in Moscow.
Treatment Under Putin’s Supervision
The report further reveals that President Putin personally urged Mojtaba to come to Moscow for leg surgery after the serious injuries. Khamenei was placed in a private hospital near Putin’s residence. A high-ranking source close to Mojtaba provided this information.
Iran Denies Speculations
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, rejected speculations regarding Khamenei’s health. He refuted the claims made by U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth about Mojtaba’s injury. Araghchi confirmed that Khamenei is healthy, dismissing any health concerns.
