WhatsApp continues adding features that aim to improve the user experience. Now, the messaging platform has introduced new chat themes. These options can completely change the appearance of conversations. However, the latest feature currently targets iPhone users. Android users may receive it soon, although WhatsApp has not shared official details.
Five Categories Bring Different Looks
According to media reports, WhatsApp has divided its new themes into five categories. These include Featured, Nature, Live, Minimal and Doodle. Each section offers its own designs and visual style. Therefore, users get more choices for personalising their conversations. Nature includes outdoor scenes and natural landscapes. Meanwhile, Minimal suits people who prefer cleaner backgrounds without busy visuals.
Live Theme Adds Animated Wallpapers
The Live category stands out among the available options. It offers wallpapers featuring slow animations in conversation backgrounds. Consequently, chats can gain a more dynamic visual appearance. These moving wallpapers also aim to make messaging feel more engaging. Users can therefore choose animated backgrounds instead of static designs.
How To Change Your WhatsApp Theme
iPhone users can access the feature through WhatsApp settings. First, open the Chat Theme Settings section within the application. Next, explore the available themes shown inside the Gallery. Then, select your preferred design and apply it to chats. The process allows users to customise conversations according to their preferences.
Why Some iPhone Users May Not See It
Some iPhone users may not find the feature immediately. WhatsApp continues rolling out the update gradually. Therefore, availability can differ between users. The feature will appear through an updated WhatsApp version. If the option remains unavailable, users may need to wait for the rollout to reach their device.
For now, the new themes give iPhone users more control over chat appearances. Meanwhile, Android availability remains uncertain because WhatsApp has not announced an official release timeline.
