JPSC Scam Claims Explode: Blank OMR Sheets, ₹50 Lakh Deals and Experts Filling Answers

CID custody has brought startling claims from accused Abhay Tiwari, including alleged score manipulation, costly deals and outsourced exam control.

Students have shown anger for 20 days over alleged irregularities in Jharkhand’s 14th JPSC examination. Meanwhile, CID arrested main accused Abhay Tiwari and took him on remand. During questioning, Tiwari made several startling claims about examination operations.

He alleged that TDPL received responsibility for conducting the 14th JPSC preliminary examination without any tender. According to Tiwari, authorities assigned work despite the company’s blacklisted status. He claimed that an accountant and he manipulated candidates’ computerised marks. Consequently, selected applicants allegedly received higher scores.

Tiwari said candidates dealing with the group had to leave OMR sheets blank. After examinations, officials brought those sheets to TDPL’s Ranchi office. There, technical employees allegedly filled correct answers inside empty circles.

Moreover, Tiwari claimed candidates paying ₹50 lakh secured strong marks and became officers. He also accused former JPSC chairman L. Khiangte of an alleged ₹2 crore deal. According to him, that arrangement concerned awarding the examination contract illegally to blacklisted TDPL.

Former JPSC Chairman Faces Questions Over Alleged TDPL Arrangement

Questions have also emerged around former chairman Khiangte. Tiwari claimed an agreement promised him a 20% share from billing. According to the allegation, TDPL controlled every stage of the examination process. Its role allegedly covered preliminary testing through publication of final results.

However, CID has not officially confirmed Tiwari’s claims. Before entering government service, he worked as TDPL’s marketing manager. Later, he served as Block Supply Officer in Poreyahat block, Godda district.

CID arrested Tiwari on July 22. He currently remains under agency remand while investigators continue questioning him.

Experts Allegedly Wrote Answers for ACF and FRO Candidates

Tiwari also allegedly called 10 experts through agents from Bihar, Haryana and other states. According to the claim, those specialists prepared examination answers in Ranchi.

For ACF and FRO examinations, Tiwari allegedly paid nearly ₹1 crore for writing mains answers. Furthermore, he reportedly collected over ₹3 crore from 14 candidates seeking FRO and ACF positions.

The accused also claimed some applicants already had comparatively better answers. For increasing their marks, he allegedly contacted certain professors. According to the claim, those academics received substantial payments.

Abhay Tiwari currently remains in CID custody. Meanwhile, investigators continue questioning him regarding these allegations.
