The buzz around Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana continues to grow before its release. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer has attracted major attention recently. Earlier, Sony Pictures took responsibility for global distribution outside India. Now, reports claim T-Series secured the film’s music rights through a major deal.
Several leading music labels competed to acquire the audio rights of Ramayana. However, T-Series eventually completed the agreement with its offer.
T-Series Secures Both Parts’ Music Rights For ₹75 Crore
According to reports, a close associate of T-Series confirmed the deal. The associate said T-Series acquired Ramayana’s music rights. The leadership at T-Series and Bhushan Kumar reportedly trust the soundtrack’s success. The agreement includes music from both parts of the film. Furthermore, the deal includes an advance payment of ₹75 crore for music rights. The payment forms part of a refundable advance arrangement.
The agreement stands among the biggest music rights deals by an Indian music company. The deal covers both upcoming parts of Ramayana.

Star Cast And Release Plans Of Ramayana
Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram in the epic film. Sai Pallavi will play Sita, while Yash will appear as Ravana. Additionally, Sunny Deol will portray Lord Hanuman. Ravi Dubey will play Lakshman in the movie. Nitesh Tiwari, known for Dangal, directs the project. Namit Malhotra produces the film. Moreover, A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer have composed the music. The makers will release Ramayana in two parts.
The first part will arrive during Diwali 2026. Meanwhile, the second part will reach theatres during Diwali 2027.
