Bollywood actress and dancer Nora Fatehi has landed in legal trouble after an aviation company filed a ₹3 crore defamation case. The company approached Gandhinagar court against the actress over her alleged remarks about its chartered aircraft.
The aviation firm claimed Nora called its aircraft a “toy plane”. According to the company, her comments were insulting and irresponsible. The firm also alleged that her statement affected its reputation and business.
Video Posted On Instagram Triggered Controversy
The case relates to an incident from December last year. Nora booked a chartered aircraft for travelling from Mumbai to Jaipur.
The company alleged that Nora recorded a video inside the aircraft. In that video, she reportedly described the plane as a “Lego airplane” and a “toy”.
Later, the actress shared the video on her Instagram account. The aviation company claimed the post caused damage to its brand image.
Furthermore, the company alleged that some flight bookings faced cancellations after the video appeared online. It stated that Nora made remarks without technical knowledge about the aircraft.
Court Hearing Scheduled For September 25
The aviation company filed the case against Nora Fatehi in April this year. According to PTI, the firm has demanded ₹3 crore compensation from the actress.
Meanwhile, the matter will come before Gandhinagar court on September 25. The upcoming hearing will decide the next developments in the case.
Nora Fatehi’s Recent Film Appearance
On the work front, Nora Fatehi appeared in the Kannada film ‘KD: The Devil’. The movie released in April this year.
The KVN Production film featured actors including Dhruva Sarja, Shilpa Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, and Kichcha Sudeep.
