Naseem Mukri Shares Claims About Amitabh Bachchan

Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has come into discussion after a statement from late actor Mukri’s daughter Naseem. She shared details about her father’s relationship with Amitabh Bachchan during an interview.

Naseem claimed that Amitabh Bachchan never visited their home after Mukri’s death in 2000. She also said Jaya Bachchan did not contact the family afterwards.

Daughter Says Amitabh Did Not Attend Final Rites

During her conversation with Vicky Lalwani, Naseem spoke openly about her father Mukri and Amitabh Bachchan’s bond. She said Amitabh visited Mukri’s house frequently during his struggling years.

At that time, Amitabh stayed with actor Mehmood’s younger brother Anwar at his home. However, Naseem said circumstances changed later.

According to her claim, Amitabh did not visit their home after Mukri passed away. She also said he did not attend the final rites.

Naseem added that actor Rishi Kapoor reached their house early morning after hearing the news. She said he cried uncontrollably after Mukri’s death.

Naseem Calls Film Industry Friendships Temporary

Naseem said film friendships often depend on professional success. She explained that relationships remain strong while work continues.

She said friendships can change after projects end. Naseem added that people sometimes stop asking about former colleagues later.

Meanwhile, she described Jaya Bachchan as Mukri’s good friend. Both artists worked together in the film Piya Ka Ghar.

Naseem said outdoor shootings created a family-like atmosphere among entire film units. However, she claimed Jaya neither visited their home nor called after Mukri’s death.

She also mentioned that grief surrounded the family during that period. Therefore, they did not focus on visitors or absences.

Rishi Kapoor Remembered Mukri With Deep Emotion

Naseem recalled that Rishi Kapoor broke down after learning about Mukri’s death. She said Rishi watched the news around 2 AM on television.

The next morning, around 7 AM, their doorbell rang. Naseem said Rishi Kapoor stood outside their house.

She added that he cried like a child after entering. According to her, Mukri had worked with Rishi Kapoor in many films.

Naseem said Rishi struggled to accept Mukri’s passing because of their professional bond.

Mukri Passed Away In 2000 After Heart Attack

Mukri died in Mumbai in 2000 after suffering a heart attack. He was 78 years old at that time.

The comedian created a special identity through his comic performances in Hindi cinema. His career included memorable films like Mother India, Bombay To Goa, Laawaris, Sharaabi, Coolie, and Amar Akbar Anthony.

Amitabh And Mukri Shared Screen In Many Films

Mukri worked with Amitabh Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, and many other major actors during his long career. His on-screen chemistry with Amitabh received appreciation from audiences.
