Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the Ayodhya fish feast controversy during the ‘Bhav Samarpan Samaroh’ in Rae Bareli. He criticised Congress over the event organised by Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai in Ayodhya.
Yogi said Congress leaders visited Hanuman Garhi temple and later attended a fish feast. He questioned this action and accused the party of showing contradictory behaviour. The chief minister said such conduct crossed limits of embarrassment.
CM accuses Congress of political double standards
Yogi Adityanath said Congress leaders chant Ram’s name and pretend devotion at Bajrang Bali’s temple. However, he alleged that they later participate in a fish feast outside the temple visit.
He questioned why anyone needed to visit Hanuman Garhi before eating fish. According to Yogi, Congress displayed a double standard through these actions. He added that even a chameleon would feel ashamed after seeing such behaviour.
Yogi raises allegations about Congress history
The chief minister claimed Congress had a history of similar actions. He mentioned an incident involving the brother of the state Congress president. Yogi alleged that a mafia member killed him.
He claimed the person did not speak against the accused mafia figure. Instead, Yogi alleged that the person bowed before that individual. He said Uttar Pradesh citizens no longer face an identity crisis.
CM highlights changes in Uttar Pradesh
Yogi said youngsters, women, traders, farmers and citizens now have confidence. He recalled that people faced suspicion while travelling around ten years ago.
According to him, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress leaders created that identity problem. He accused opposition parties of dishonest practices during their governments.
Yogi defends heritage-focused projects in Ayodhya
Yogi also criticised opposition reactions towards Ayodhya development projects. He questioned why some people objected to naming the airport after Maharishi Valmiki.
He also mentioned facilities named after Nishad Raj and Shabari Mata. Yogi said previous governments lacked the ability to create such projects.
The chief minister claimed his government respected India’s heritage. He said his administration honoured Lord Ram and contributed to building the grand temple.
