Three Bus Fire Tragedies Shake India: 9 Dead In Noida, Other Incidents Reported

Multiple bus fire incidents in Noida, Mumbai-Pune route and Hyderabad raised safety concerns, while leaders expressed grief after the accidents.

A major accident occurred on Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday night. A tourist bus caught fire and nine people died in the incident. The sudden blaze created panic among passengers inside the vehicle. President Droupadi Murmu expressed grief after the tragic accident. President Murmu said the news of deaths in the Yamuna Expressway bus fire was extremely painful. She expressed deep condolences to the affected families. Moreover, she wished a speedy recovery for injured people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed sorrow over the incident. He shared condolences with families who lost their loved ones. Additionally, he wished recovery for injured passengers.

PM Announces Financial Assistance For Victims

Prime Minister Modi announced financial support through PMNRF. Families of deceased victims will receive ₹2 lakh each. Injured people will receive ₹50,000 assistance. Furthermore, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the accident. He called the incident extremely painful and heartbreaking.

Yogi shared condolences with grieving families. He prayed for peace for departed souls and quick recovery for injured people.

Fire Cause Under Investigation In Greater Noida

The private double-decker tourist bus travelled from Noida towards Mahoba. The fire broke out near Jewar Airport. Reports suggested heavy luggage placed above the bus could have contributed to the fire. However, authorities have not confirmed the exact reason yet.

Police and forensic teams are investigating the incident. They are examining details related to the fire.

Fire Incident Reported On Mumbai-Pune Highway

Meanwhile, another bus fire occurred on the Mumbai-Pune highway. A private passenger bus travelling from Udaipur to Pune caught fire. The reason behind this fire remains unclear. Initial estimates suggest an AC-related technical issue caused the blaze. All passengers safely exited the bus after noticing the fire. No casualties were reported in this incident.

The accident occurred near Hiranandani Estate, close to Khalapur toll plaza in Raigad. The incident happened around 7 AM.

A fire engine reached the location soon after receiving information. Fire officials started efforts to control the flames.

Hyderabad Bus Fire Leaves Forty Passengers Safe

Additionally, a private travel bus caught fire near Karmanghat Hanuman Temple in Hyderabad. The bus was travelling towards Srisailam. Around 40 passengers escaped safely during the incident. Fire officials said the bus suddenly caught fire on the route. At the time, 38 passengers were travelling inside the bus. Fortunately, nobody suffered serious injuries.

Passengers exited the burning vehicle before fire teams reached the spot. Officials suspect a short circuit caused the fire.
