After serious allegations surfaced at TCS Nashik BPO, another major IT company now faces controversy. Meanwhile, new claims of religious bias have emerged against Tech Mahindra. As the TCS case saw three more victims coming forward, a viral social media post gained attention. The post claimed that Tech Mahindra declared its office pantry a footwear-free zone during Ramzan. It further alleged that employees used the space for namaz and iftar practices.
Social Media Post Fuels Narrative
The controversy began when advocate Ashutosh Dubey shared a post on X. Notably, he serves as the head of BJP Maharashtra’s legal and advisory department. He alleged unequal policies during festivals at Tech Mahindra’s Goregaon office in Mumbai. According to him, the company followed biased practices based on religion. Furthermore, Dubey claimed that an anonymous employee sent him the message.

The post described the office environment as resembling a “Mini Pakistan.” Subsequently, Dubey shared another post raising similar concerns about the Hyderabad office. Additionally, he shared an Instagram post from another employee supporting the same claims.
Received Instagram DM of girl employee: At Tech Mahindra office, pantry declared “Footwear-Free Zone” till Ramzan for prayers & iftar.
Colleagues asked to follow it in the name of “unity”.
Question is simple: Is workplace policy now religion-based, or should it remain neutral… pic.twitter.com/pL1u3l79f7
